Nine works by Gio Ponti from the Museo Ginori collections are featured in the exhibition Etruschi del Novecento, on display at MART until March 16, 2025.
The exhibition, curated by Lucia Mannini, Anna Mazzanti, Giulio Paolucci, and Alessandra Tiddia, reinterprets the fruitful connection between archaeological finds and 20th-century artistic production, which often drew inspiration from the original expressive language and techniques of Etruscan art.
Alongside the works of Massimo Campigli, Marino Marini, Arturo and Quinto Martini, Alberto and Diego Giacometti, Pablo Picasso, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mario Schifano, and Gino Severini, the nine works from the Ponti collection of the Museo Ginori tell a fundamental chapter of a story that never ceases to amaze.
