Palazzo Reale, Milan
One hundred years after the Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes in Paris, the exhibition Art Déco. Il trionfo della modernità offers a critical reflection on the international success of Art Déco style and its artistic, historical, and social implications.
Porcelain, glass, paintings, furnishings, textiles, clothing, and jewelry define a stylistic vocabulary with clearly recognizable traits and evoke the atmosphere of an era that is both fascinating and contradictory, in which Art Déco emerges as an expression of refinement capable of transcending the boundaries of geography and artistic disciplines.
The exhibition, curated by Valerio Terraroli, is promoted by the Municipality of Milan and produced by Palazzo Reale and 24 ORE Cultura.
