Nine works by Gio Ponti from the collection of the Museo Ginori are the protagonists of the exhibition Etruscans of the 20th century, scheduled at MART in Rovereto from December 7, 2024, to March 16, 2025.
The exhibition, curated by Lucia Mannini, Anna Mazzanti, Giulio Paolucci, and Alessandra Tiddia, reinterprets the fruitful connection between archaeological finds and 20th-century artistic production, which has often drawn inspiration from the original expressive language and techniques of Etruscan art.
Alongside works by Massimo Campigli, Marino Marini, Arturo and Quinto Martini, Alberto and Diego Giacometti, Pablo Picasso, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mario Schifano, and Gino Severini, the nine works from the Ponti collection of the Museo Ginori tell a fundamental chapter of a story that continues to surprise.
