The exhibition, curated by Lucia Mannini, Anna Mazzanti, Giulio Paolucci, and Alessandra Tiddia, reinterprets the fruitful connection between archaeological finds and 20th-century artistic production, which often drew inspiration from the original expressive language and techniques of Etruscan art. Alongside the works of Massimo Campigli, Marino Marini, Arturo and Quinto Martini, Alberto and Diego Giacometti, Pablo Picasso, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mario Schifano, and Gino Severini, the nine works from the <a href="https://museoginori.org/magazine/gio-ponti">Ponti collection</a> of the Museo Ginori tell a fundamental chapter of a story that never ceases to amaze.&nbsp;

Thirty-seven works from the Museo Ginori are featured in the exhibition &ldquo;Gio Ponti. Ceramiche 1922-1967 - Over 200 works by the inventor of Made in Italy&rdquo; organised by MIC Faenza in collaboration with Fondazione Ginori, open to the public from March 17 to October 13, 2024.

Gio Ponti's ceramics from the Museo Ginori at the MIC, Faenza

On December 5th, in the dining room of Villa Necchi Campiglio, a captivating display of Gio Ponti&rsquo;s centerpiece for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was inaugurated.
Curated by Oliva Rucellai in collaboration with Aurora Totaro, the exhibition establishes an unprecedented dialogue between Ponti&rsquo;s masterpiece and the decorations and furnishings of the room created by Pietro Portaluppi and Tomaso Buzzi.
The initiative was promoted by FAI - Fondo per l&rsquo;Ambiente Italiano and the Museo Ginori, which in its collections preserves over four hundred works designed by Gio Ponti.
The press presentation was held by Oliva Rucellai and Consuelo de Gara from Museo Ginori, FAI President Marco Magnifico and FAI Deputy Director for Cultural Affairs Daniela Bruno.

The exhibition of Gio Ponti’s Trionfo da tavola inaugurated at Villa Necchi Campiglio

On October 24, the Museo Poldi Pezzoli presented a preview of the exhibition dedicated to the history of the Manifattura di Doccia, from Carlo Ginori to Gio Ponti.
The press conference was attended by the Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala, the Mayor of Sesto Fiorentino Lorenzo Falchi, the Regional Director of Museums of Tuscany Stefano Casciu, the President of the Fondazione Poldi Pezzoli Gian Giacomo Attolico Trivulzio, the President of the Fondazione Ginori Tomaso Montanari, and the Director of the Museo Poldi Pezzoli Alessandra Quarto.&nbsp;

Inaugurated at the Museo Poldi Pezzoli the exhibition "Oro bianco. Tre secoli di porcellane Ginori"

Sixty works created between the 18th and 20th centuries, coming from Italian and European museums and private collections, are the protagonists of the exhibition Oro bianco. Tre secoli di porcellane Ginori, scheduled at the <a href="https://museopoldipezzoli.it">Museo Poldi Pezzoli</a> in Milan from October 25, 2023, to February 19, 2024.
Produced by Museo Poldi Pezzoli and Museo Ginori, the exhibition is curated by Federica Manoli, Oliva Rucellai, and Rita Balleri, who envisioned it as a journey through time marked by absolute masterpieces such as the monumental <a href="https://museoginori.org/collezioni/venere-de-medici">Venere de&rsquo; Medici</a> (circa 1747) from the Museo Ginori, by refined pairings of porcelain sculptures exhibited together for the first time with their respective bronze archetypes, by the large vases made for the Universal Expositions, and by the creations of Gio Ponti, among which are the extraordinary Ciste made for Fernanda and Ugo Ojetti, now owned by Museo Poldi Pezzoli.
Throughout the duration of the exhibition, numerous side activities will be organized, including workshops for families, in-depth lectures, and a series of meetings related to the theme of the &ldquo;culture of the table.&rdquo;

On the occasion of the last week of the exhibition "Arti in dialogo. Echi tardo barocchi nelle sculture del Museo Ginori," the curators of the Museo Ginori, Oliva Rucellai and Rita Balleri, will lead a series of special guided tours. Visitors are invited to discover the very close relationship between the 18th-century paintings and stuccoes decorating the rooms and the porcelain and terracotta sculptures created or acquired by the Manifattura Ginori in the 18th century. The first appointment is on Tuesday, February 14 (at 3:00 p.m., 3:45 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:15 p.m., and 6:00 p.m). The second is on Thursday, February 16 (at 3:45 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 5:15 p.m).&nbsp;&nbsp;
Until February 17, the exhibition will be open only by reservation, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.&nbsp;

The exhibition &ldquo;Arti in dialogo. Echi tardo barocchi nelle sculture del Museo Ginori&rdquo; was inaugurated today in the magnificent rooms of Palazzo Marucelli-Fenzi. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Rector of the University of Florence Giovanni Tarli Barbieri, the President of the Fondazione Ginori Tomaso Montanari, and the Regional Director of Museums of Tuscany Stefano Casciu, together with Fulvio Cervini, Deputy Director of the Department of History, Archaeology, Geography, Art and Performance (Sagas) of the University of Florence, and the exhibition curators Cristiano Giometti (University of Florence), Andrea Di Lorenzo (Museo Ginori) and Rita Balleri (Museo Ginori).
<div>Until February 17, 2023, in the rooms of Palazzo Marucelli-Fenzi, exceptionally opened to the public for the occasion, a selection of porcelain sculptures and terracotta and wax models from the Museo Ginori engage in an entirely new dialogue with the decorations created by Sebastiano Ricci and Giovanni Baratta between 1705 and 1706. </div>

The exhibition "Arti in dialogo. Echi tardo barocchi nelle sculture del Museo Ginori”

On Saturday, October 8, the exhibition &ldquo;L&rsquo;oro bianco di Sesto Fiorentino. Opere del Settecento dal Museo Ginori&rdquo; will be inaugurated at the Ernesto Ragionieri Library in Sesto Fiorentino.
While awaiting the reopening of the Museo Ginori premises, a selection of forty-five works from its permanent collection will temporarily be on display inside the same building that housed the Manifattura Ginori and its museum until the 1950s.&nbsp;
Among the artworks and objects on display in this small but precious exhibition are the porcelain bust of Carlo Ginori, table centrepieces, the &ldquo;Museo delle Terre&rdquo; (collection of minerals) and the stencils for the characteristic &ldquo;a stampino&rdquo; decorations.
The exhibition will remain open until April 16, 2023. Free admission
