From 31 January to 2 June 2026, an exhibition organised by MIC Faenza and the Fondazione Ginori revisits two centuries of the history of the Doccia Factory.
160 works from the Museo Ginori collections are at the heart of the exhibition “Ginori Alchemy 1737–1896. Art and Technique in the Manufactory,” on view at the Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche in Faenza until 2 June.
Curated by Oliva Rucellai and Rita Balleri, the exhibition offers a new interpretation of two centuries of the history of the Doccia Manufactory, presenting an original narrative of the evolution of ceramics in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and highlighting the dialogue between creativity and material, and between aesthetic research and scientific and technological progress.
Organised by the Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche in Faenza and the Fondazione Museo Ginori, the exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue published by SilvanaEditoriale and a programme of guided tours, held every Saturday at 4 pm starting on 7 February. Advance booking is required.
